Sandra Valls is a comic, actor, singer, writer, and badass. She is best known for her powerful, electric, stand up comedy performances in Showtime’s, THE LATIN DIVAS OF COMEDY (nominated for an Alma Award) and PRIDE: LGBT COMEDY SLAM!, hosted by Bruce Vilanch (both available for viewing now on Her unique mix of physical comedy and brilliant story telling make it easy to see why the Los Angeles Times calls Sandra “Talented and Hilarious” as well as being included in Curve’s 2017 Power List as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Queer Women in the country. Latina Magazine voted Sandra One of the Top 33 Bad Ass Comics with Latina Roots. Curve Magazine voted her One of the Top 10 Funniest Lesbian Comics and Go Magazine has named Sandra One of the Top 100 Women We Love.

Sandra co-wrote and stars in the smash hit play, THE LATINA CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, which received “Critic’s Choice” by The Los Angeles Times three years in a row and continually sells out year after year at the Los Angeles Theatre Center.

Her television credits include NickMom Night Out (Nickelodeon), Outlaugh Festival, One Night Stand Up (LOGO), Comic’s Unleashed with Byron Allen (ABC), Habla! (HBO), Que Locos (Galavision), Funny is Funny, Latino 101 (Sitv), BET’s Comic View and countless other tv spots including MTV3’s Quiero Mis Quince, Wanna be Latinos and Top Tr3ce, Mun2 Comedy Documentary and I love Jenny!

Sandra is also a favorite onstage as an emcee. Her hosting credits include TedX Women - Beverly Hills, HRC San Antonio, Women in Medicine: Lesbian Health Fund Conference, San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce Coming Out Day, Equality San Antonio – Spirit of Texas Brunch, La Femme Film Awards (10 years in a row), Power UP - 10 Amazing Gay Women and Men Gala, and GLAAD Awards, to name a few.

El Sanchez has performed at Seattle's Crypticon, Emerald City Comicon, Bumbershoot, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Northwest Comedy Fest, the All Jane Comedy Festival, Autostraddle’s annual LGBTQ event A-Camp and has appeared on The Bob Rivers Show, NPR's Latino USA,the popular podcast Sex Nerd Sandra on the Nerdist network and the Seattle-based sketch television show "The [206]" on NBC. They have been the opening act for comedians Jen Kirkman (Drunk History), Josh Blue (Last Comic Standing), Dwayne Kennedy (Seinfeld), Bridget Everett (Inside Amy Schumer), W. Kamau Bell (Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, United Shades of America), Michael Che (SNL), Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show) and are a regular opening act and touring partner of comedian Hari Kondabolu (Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Comedy Central).

El has produced several Seattle comedy shows, including all female show Wine Shots: Comedy's Happiest Hour, late night variety show Not Too Late with El Sanchez, movie and live podcast show The Enematic Cinematic LIVES!!, comedy and karaoke showKarajokey and QTPOC focused variety show Fist & Shout!. They currently co-host a podcast with their partner and fellow comedian Joshua Chambers titled How Bad Could it Be? featuring an exclusive theme song written and performed by beloved queer and trans musician Mal Blum (The Chris Gethard Show, Welcome to Night Vale), host two web series for Queerspace Magazine (The Bi-Geekly Report and Reality Rewind) and are the host of the Seattle branch of The Moth StorySlam
