Behold... The Arctopus
Behold... The Arctopus
American instrumental metal trio formed in 2001 and based in New York.

The group began as a duo of Colin Marston (playing the Warr guitar) and Mike Lerner (guitar) with a drum machine. They released a 2-song digital demo on MP3.com entitled "We Need A Drummer" before drummer Charlie Zeleny joined them in early 2003 and released a few EPs between 2003 and 2006 before signing to Metal Blade and releasing their debut full-length "Skullgrid" in 2007.

On December 30th 2008, drummer Charlie Zeleny stated that after 5 years with the group, he was leaving to focus on his career as a studio musician. In early 2009, Weasel Walter was announced Zeleny's replacement and the group headed in a more aggressive direction with their 2nd full-length "Horrorscension" released in 2012.

On January 27, 2015 the band announced that they had amicably parted ways with Weasel Walter and were searching for a new drummer. The band announced on July 12, 2016 that they had found their new drummer, Jason Bauers, and later that year released a new album "Cognitive Emancipation".

Xoth
Xoth
Xoth was formed from the ashes of Seattle Epic Metal band Phalgeron. Xoth picks up where that band left off. Guitarist/Vocalist Tyler Splurgis was working on a side project with drummer Jeremy Salvo, and the transition into this band just seemed right. Second guitar master Woody Adler came into the picture when Tyler and Woody formed metal the metal cover band Medieval Eternity in Summer 2013, and he played the final Phalgeron show. It turned out they wrote really well together, so he agreed to be a founding member of Xoth. Bassist, Ben Bennett, was found at a Medival Eternity show in winter 2014, and after some talk and discovery of mutual schooling and friends, it was decided we shall jam. Their debut EP will be released this summer. Prepare to behold Xoth.
