Wall of Ears
Wall of Ears is an experimental pop band, blending unconventional instrumentation (synths, samplers, alien vocalizations) with a serious obsession for sharp songcraft. Style Weekly says WOE's "psychedelic impression is whimsical in its Flaming Lips assessments of the ghost of Syd Barrett." In the year 2015, WOE migrated from Western Massachusetts to Seattle, where with the addition of Seattle musicians, transformed into a girthier four piece. They will be performing material from their upcoming 2nd LP, Hello Beautiful Nothing, due out summer 2016.
DéCollage
If Salvador Dali's paintings were music, they would sound like déCollage. Formed in 2009 by Moon Magnet Studio's ringleader, Reed Fuchs, déCollage is hardly a four-piece, as over 20 of Denver's most creative musicians chose to participate, including members of Rose Quartz, Candy Claws/Sound of Ceres, Rubedo and many more. Their shows are theatrical, free-spirited parties; interactive to the point the audience gets doused in space blankets while transcendental artists paint on stage. déCollage has played alongside the likes of Animal Collective, of Montreal, Zammuto {The Books}, Flaming Lips collaborators: Spaceface and Fever The Ghost. Their eclectic Psych Pop incorporates accordion, glockenspiel, etc, over a canvas of found sounds Reed records {typewriters, trains, leaves, zippers, oatmeal, circuit bending}. Reed's lyrics navigate our fragmented, post-modern world through metaphysics, surrealism, abstraction, and most of all wonder! déCollage is interested in sounds for their own sake; in this way their music is World, the world of sound, the world's sound.
The City Hall
We're like every indie band you've ever heard at a house show but better because we practice more.
